Traveling Chef

Avoid the hassles of restaurant dining and luxuriate in the comfort and privacy of your own home, vacation rental, or venue of your choice while we prepare nutritious meals tailored exclusively for you and your loved ones.

Awaken to the aroma of coffee, crepes, and bacon (meat or vegan) in the morning. At midday, you may enjoy a soup made with seasonally ripe, organically grown vegetables and served with freshly made bread. For dinner, we will prepare a four- to five-course meal, starting with a savory hors d’oeurve and capped off with a sweet, delicious dessert.

We will work with you to design menus that reflect the types of food you and your family will love, and shop locally or regionally for the freshest, best-quality produce, meats, and dairy. We are happy to accommodate all dietary restrictions and personal preferences.

Let us delight you and your guests at your next event with superior fare from a customizable menu of seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. We prepare all handcrafted meals onsite for an elevated level of quality and freshness.

We specialize in weddings, holiday parties, single- or multi-day corporate events, university symposiums, and retreats. Our mobile kitchen pop-up can deliver wildly exceptional experiences even in natural settings such as Yosemite Valley.

Menu options change seasonally and span different cultures and cuisines. We are happy to accommodate special dietary restrictions and food preferences. Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free options are paired with meat entrées to accommodate all tastes and lifestyles.

Cooking Classes

We offer chef-led culinary classes for all ages in your home, vacation rentals, school, or other locations that have access to a kitchen. Choose one of the classes below or we’ll design a class to meet your needs. 

Hands-on classes

Participants choose specific dishes and learn about the ingredients, where to purchase them, and intricate techniques to create them. Favorite dishes include Paella, Moroccan Tajine, Persian Kabobs, Ravioli and Ramen, and Wood-fired Pizza.

Themed classes

Participants choose a theme for the hands-on class, such as birthday cake decorating for children. Instructors will provide the mini three-layer cake and participants will be taught decorating techniques including frosting, piping, and decorating with edible flowers. Students will leave with their own creations.

Workshops

Half and Full-day detailed classes that include basic knife skills, culturally-based cuisine and techniques, and a sit-down meal at the end of the class. Students will participate in cultural research, menu planning, and local farm tours.

Chef Heidi has shared her passion with the students of Wawona Elementary School. In 2002, she started a cooking class for K-8th-grade students which focused on the world cultures and their cuisine. Over the years, both the students and Chef Heidi have studied the traditions, food types, ingredients, methods, and techniques of dozens of cultures.
